Thurne Dyke
Plenty of mooring up to the staithe, and at the end of the dyke is Thurne village offering shops, post office and bus services to Yarmouth on Wednesdays only. The 13th century St Edmunds church is worth visiting.

Womack Water
The Norfolk Wherry Trust is situated here and restoration work to the wherries can be viewed, and at the end of this water is Ludham public staithe.

Potter Heigham Bridge
Plenty of moorings and boatyards offering marine services, shops and amusements and there is a 5 mile circular walk which uses part of 'the Weavers Way' footpath.

Potter Heigham Village
This is two miles away from the bridge.

Hickling
Mooring for hickling is at Catfield Common Staithe which has a nice grassy area for playing and picnics, several water and walking trails, also a pub, toilets, shops telephone and fuel facilities. In Hickling village there are some shops, post office and public toilets.

Downstream from Hickling you pass Horsey Mere and the village of Horsey which has no amenities but boasts All Saints church believed to date back to 900's.

Martham Ferry
Limited amount of moorings and a boatyard provides facilites.

Martham Village
Is a good 30 minute walk from the ferry. It is a very picturesque village complete with ponds and greens, and offers a variety of shops and buses to Norwich and Yarmouth.
